It turns out that the Falklands are blessed with an impressive amount of culinary talent!

For the past 6 weeks, a number of young students in Stanley have been chefs-in-training as they’ve completed the Falkland Island Community School’s ‘Food Academy’ programme.

Working in partnership with cooks from Mount Pleasant Complex, FICS have been running the programme on a rotation for over 3 years now, with the aim of teaching essential cooking skills and inspire students to cook and bake more at home.
