In this week’s programme, we mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, news from the courts and a public consultation is launched on a new Economic Development Strategy for the Falkland Islands. MLA Mark Pollard, MLA Pete Biggs, and two special advisors, Michael Goss and Emma Leigh Middleton, attend the United Nations Committee C24, while increased mutton and lamb exports contribute to a 25% revenue rise for the Falkland Islands Meat Company. We also highlight awards presented to Cress Thomas and Police Constable Gemma Webb for their contributions to policing.
After the break, Stephen Brice steps into his new role as Deputy Governor of the Falkland Islands, the Annual Tourism Awards are celebrated, the Falklands Volleyball Club returns from its first international tournament in Punta Arenas, and we pay tribute at the Nick Taylor Memorial.
