A discussion paper proposing reduced winter operations was raised at the Transport Advisory Committee this week. The proposal would reduce flight hours from 5 days per week to 3 days through the winter months allowing for routine maintenance. The suggestion was not approved due to the logistical issues this could cause camp residents. A 50% increase to the FIGAS £500,000 spares budget was also approved.
