A confirmed case of bird flu has been identified in Stanley. A dead southern fulmar was found to be carrying the disease in what the vets are calling an isolated incident. A temporary control zone has been enacted around Stanley until the 23rd November meaning that domestic poultry must be housed securely and people are reminded to be aware of biosecurity and report any unusual bird behaviour or dead birds to the vets.
