Back in October, we brought you the news that Debbie Lake at the Seafarers Mission had been awarded the Merchant Navy Welfare Board’s, Services to Seafarers’ Welfare Award.

On Wednesday, she was presented with the award in a special Government House Reception, making her the first recipient of the prize outside mainland UK.
