Executive Council has approved the next stage for the new port facility that will take place over the next 13 months.

The first stage of the project began in July 2020 and involved stakeholder workshops, surveys, demand studies and environmental assessments to produce the initial Concept Design for the new facility.

The new stage will involve further stakeholder engagement to progress the initial Concept Design to a more detailed design.

The port will be the most expensive capital project Falkland Islands Government will administer to date.
