Port Egmont Settlement: A plotted history

One of the oldest settlements in the Falkland Islands sits at Saunders Island and used to be the main naval base for the British.

A common confusion is that the settlement is actually called Jason’s Town and it is a harbour that is called Port Egmont. Nevertheless the area has had quite an interesting history.
