Falklands Conducts Seaweed Search

Take a walk along any of the coastal areas around the Falkland and you are bound to come across some seaweed. There are around 250 different types of seaweed recognised across the islands. At the end of the Falkland Islands Walking Festival there will be a seaweed search with Falklands Conservation.

This seaweed search is modelled on the British “big seaweed search“, with Falklands Conservation looking for willing members of the public to go out to the beaches of the islands to see if they can identify as many of the fourteen different species of seaweed required as they can.
