Falklands eye northern hemisphere Bird Flu Cases

There has been a rise in cases of avian influenza, or bird flu, in the northern hemisphere. Ahead of the tourism season, with a number of birdlife returning to the islands, there is a possibility that bird flu may reach the Falklands. While there are no reported cases of the disease in the islands currently, FIG have been preparing for an outbreak.
