FIGAS Update after the TRIP scheme

With no international tourists to the Falklands this season, a TRIP scheme was announced to encourage domestic tourism.

The scheme gave residents the opportunity to travel to places around the Falkland Islands who otherwise wouldn’t have had the chance.

A huge proportion of those using up their TRIP vouchers were flown by the Falkland Islands Government Air Service.

We spoke to Chief Pilot Troyd Bowles on the impact of TRIP on the FIGAS fleet.
