The Falkland Islands Fire and Rescue Service has recently suppressed a fire in the Murrell area near Mount Lowe. The Service was first notified of the fire on the 31st December and sent a crew of firefighters to the scene to manage it over a two-day period. We spoke to Watch Manager Ian France about the incident.
