The 29th of May marked the 42nd anniversary of the liberation of Goose Green. During the 1982 conflict Falkland Islanders were held prisoner in the Goose Green Community Hall for four weeks by occupying Argentine forces.
The forces of 2 Para arrived on the 28th of May and the people of goose green were liberated on the 29th.
