On Monday, a report revealing where Falkland Islands Government had overspent funds for capital projects was brought forward for discussion during the Standing Finance Committee.

The report highlighted key projects over the past year that had overspent funds – although much of this was due to the government’s own project phasing and programming.

Among the capital projects referenced, were housing construction, a plant for PWD, and the MPA road. We spoke with Financial Secretary, Tracey Prior on the matter.
