Liberation Day Commemorated at National Memorial Arboretum

Liberation Day was commemorated in both the Falklands and the UK on Tuesday. The event marks the day that the Falklands War in 1982 ended while also remembering those who served in the military.

In Staffordshire, England a special ceremony was held at the National Memorial Arboretum in which various short memorial services took place. The main service of the day also saw MLA Leona Roberts give a statement thanking veterans for their service as well as a tribute led by the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
