Members of the emergency services, the FIDF and Her Majesty’s Prison Service were honoured at a special Government House Reception on Monday. The medal ceremony recognised over 60 people for their years of service, and took place for Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Fire and Rescue Service Medal Holder Tiphanie May said: “it’s just amazing. I’ve been in the Fire and Rescue Service nine years now. It means a lot to be able to give back to the community, and to learn so much from firefighting, to community service, to medic… it’s amazing.”
