Back in March, the Stamp Advisory Committee ran a competition inviting the public to submit penguin photographs for a new batch of stamps.

After a large number of entries, it was then decided that a series of five separate stamps would be issued over the next five years; each featuring a penguin that is found resident in the Falklands.

This week, the winners of the competition were revealed, and we caught up with a few of them among the celebrations.

The first issue of the stamp series will feature the King Penguin. Stamps will be available to buy at the Post Office from Tuesday 3rd October.
