Preserved forest bed was found in the Falkland Islands

A recent and shocking scientific discovery has shown that the Falkland Islands was once home to vast rainforests. A preserved forest bed was unearthed in Stanley in 2020 and has recently been proved to be from 15 to 30 million years old! We spoke with the lead scientist of the breakthrough, Dr Zoe Thomas, to hear about this fluke discovery.
