Scaled down tourism season begins

The first expedition vessel of the 2021/22 summer tourist season are starting to arrive in the Falklands.

After a ‘no contact’ medical evacuation in Stanley, the first vessel, Silver Explorer called in at Bleaker Island and Bull Point on Wednesday 25th November and passengers were permitted to disembark and visit the areas.

Vessels are expected to arrive in Stanley from the first week in December and passengers will be allowed to leave the ship to visit Stanley and neighbouring areas.

We spoke to MLA Gavin Short on how the scaled down summer tourist season will work.
