Scientists Investigate Blanket Bogs and Potential to Reduce Climate Change

Two scientists from Nottingham Trent University are visiting a number of peatland sites across the Islands this week. The team are looking into the erosion rates of blanket bogs as part of a global assessment on peatland environments.

The project hopes to understand how blanket bogs can be used to store carbon and offset the impacts of climate change.
