Staffing issues highlighted at Police Committee

Issues around police staffing were brought up in the Police Committee meeting on Wednesday.

During the session, Acting Chief Police Officer, Barry Thacker disclosed that uniformed officer numbers still remained low, but added that a recruitment campaign will be rolled out to attract more local applicants.

Royal Falkland Islands Police is currently supported by a uniformed sergeant and constable from Police Scotland, but there is the possibility of another constable joining the force in early September.
