Thursday the 1^st February was set to be the busiest day of the 2023/24 tourism season to date with over 5,700 cruise ship passengers visiting the Islands. Although one of the cruise ships was cancelled due to weather conditions, clash days like this are not uncommon. During last week’s legislative assembly MLAs debated whether days like this should be permitted and if restrictions on the daily number of tourists need to be put in place.
