Tussac Planting Initiative takes root in Stanley

The first FIG-led tussac planting project has begun on the coastal areas of Stanley Common.

The Environment Department has set up the project which sees tussac tillers being planted on eroded ground near Surf Bay, Gypsy Cove and Haddassa Bay.

On day one, the small team managed to plant over 2,000 plants and complete their first section!
