Concerns raised as Falkland Islands 35% increase in Passenger Tax

Passenger tax is set to increase by 35% from £37.00 pound to £50 pound from the 1^st of July 2026. Concerns around how this tax increase could negatively impact future tourism seasons were raised at last weeks meeting of the tourism board. It was highlighted how the Falklands is now in the top 5 highest costing ports in the world.
