Meet the Team

We are a small and dedicated team, working from our studio in Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands. All content is produced in-house making us personally invested in all aspects of our content.

Hannah Newton

Station Manager

Hannah is from Surrey and graduated from Falmouth University in 2016 with a degree in Journalism.

She arrived in the Falkland Islands in March 2018 and is loving life in the southern hemisphere meeting lots of new and interesting people.

Katharyn Daniels

Deputy Station Manager

Katharyn is from Worcestershire and graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2019 with a degree in Journalism.

She’s been busy seeing all the wildlife the Falklands has to offer as well as meeting lots of new people.

Darnell Christie

Broadcast Journalist

Darnell is from London and graduated with a degree in journalism from the London College of Communication in 2021.

He arrived in the Falkland Islands in March 2022 and is thoroughly enjoying covering the news of the islands as well as taking in the stunning natural environment and local culture. 

Charles Kershaw

Broadcast Journalist

Charles is from Surrey, and studied Classics at Durham University, before graduating in 2021 from City University, London, with a Masters in International Journalism.  

He is looking forward to exploring the Falklands, getting to know the people, and doing as much rock climbing as he can.

Broadcast Journalist

Oliver is from Yorkshire and studied Geology with Ocean Science at Plymouth University. Having taken a gap year living in Tanzania, he graduated with a MA in Producing Film and Television in 2018.

He has thrown himself into life in the Falklands, joining the short mat bowls team and taking part in the first archaeological dig at Bennett’s Paddock.

Station Manager

Paula has been Station Manager at FITV since it very first began in March 2011, apart from a year’s break when she took charge of advertising.

Paula has always had an interest in photography and filming. She also writes fiction under pen names: Rita Seagull and Deason May.

Tom has been working at FITV through the Falkland Islands college. His role is mainly 3D graphic design, incorporating these skills into animation, with the famous 3D sheep being his speciality.

Tom aspires to study animation in the UK in the future.
