Meet the Team

We are a small and dedicated team, working from our studio in Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands. All content is produced in-house making us personally invested in all aspects of our content.

Hannah Newton

Hannah is from Surrey and graduated from Falmouth University in 2016 with a degree in Journalism.

She arrived in the Falkland Islands in March 2018 and is loving life in the southern hemisphere meeting lots of new and interesting people.

Oliver Thompson

Broadcast Journalist

Oliver is from Yorkshire and studied Geology with Ocean Science at Plymouth University. Having taken a gap year living in Tanzania, he graduated with a MA in Producing Film and Television in 2018.

Katharyn Daniels

Deputy Station Manager

Katharyn is from Worcestershire graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2019 with a degree in Journalism.

She is looking forward to seeing all the wildlife the Falklands has to offer as well as getting to meet lots of new people.

Jonny Burke

Broadcast Journalist

Jonny graduated from the University of Leeds in 2020 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and couldn’t turn down the chance to swap Covid-19 lockdowns in the UK to filming on the Falkland’s endless white beaches.

Fancies himself as a bit of a sportsman but hopeless at darts, the islands unofficial national sport!
