Lord Cameron met with Argentina’s president Javier Milei last month where the South America nation leader called for the Falkland Islands to be handed over to Buenos Aires. After the meeting, the UK Foreign Office said “they would agree to disagree, and do so politely.” The foreign secretary reiterated the UK’s commitment to uphold the Islanders’ right of self-determination and that the Falklands sovereignty was not up for debate.
