The men’s individual time trial got underway with a staggered start at lunchtime, as Falklands cyclists Jake Summers and Jim Horton geared up at the Firth Community School starting line. The 45-kilometre route took riders along the stunning east coast of West Mainland Orkney and back again — a real test of endurance, speed, and grit. We caught up with Jake and Jim after the trial to hear how it all went out on the road.
