Questions about policing short term parking spaces were raised at a public meeting this week and were brought forward to the Police Committee by MLA Jack Ford on Wednesday. Acting Chief of Police Barry Thacker told the committee that the police take action as and when issues are raised.

Attorney General Simon Young added that decriminalisation of parking should be considered and that a paper on fixed penalty notices is being worked on.
