Falkland Islands Government will put the Marine Managed Areas draft policy out for public consultation next year. The policy will ensure specific marine areas of the Falklands are protected, including outlying islands in the archipelago, whilst designating other inshore areas as sustainable multi-use zones. Careful consideration will need to be given to balancing a desire for conservation with general use of the spaces identified.
