During the last sitting of the Legislative Assembly, outgoing MLA Teslyn Barkman asked outgoing MLA Roger Spink about the review of the Islands’ tax system. She raised concerns about growing income inequality, and asked for clarity on what the review will include, the timeline, and how dividends are currently treated as well as whether more progressive taxation may be considered.
