In this week’s programme, Falklands residents can now apply for an International Current Account and Savings Account with UK bank Lloyds. We also look at the results of the recent equality and discrimination survey as part of the Islands’ equalities project.
Changes to work permit applications mean that children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, as well as children with English as an Additional Language, will no longer be granted dependant permits. An agreement allowing secondary-age children of parents living at Mount Pleasant Complex to study at FICS and weekly board at Stanley House will be submitted to Executive Council for approval next week.
After the break, we showcase the largest RAF cargo drop from a single aircraft in the Falklands, the National Sports Council Awards ceremony, and Government House receptions for the Falkland Islands Volleyball Club ahead of their tournament in Punta Arenas and for Zimbabwean Independence Day. We also revisit Earth Day and Amy’s Easter nests cooking feature.
