The Falkland Islands Basketball Club opened their Winter League during a ceremony hosted at Stanley Leisure Centre last Sunday. The league, which is the first basketball tournament of its kind in the islands, will be continuing until late November, with hopes that future sponsorship will send players onto next year’s Island Games in Guernsey.
