The annual Battle Day parade and service took place on Thursday. The public holiday and remembrance event commemorates the 1914 Battle of the Falklands which saw Admiral Sturdee taking victory in the naval battle between British and German ships. During the battle six British sailors and over 2,000 German sailors lost their lives.
