Cecil Alexander recorded the Falkland Islands’ first victory of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games with a straight-sets win over Kenya’s Anwar Hamada.
Competing in the Men’s Singles sectional stage at the SEC, Alexander won both sets to secure the result without the need for a tie-break.
The victory followed his closely contested match against India, in which he took Putul Sonowal to a deciding tie-break, and marked an important moment in the Falkland Islands Bowls Team’s campaign.
