Executive Council’s decision to decline funding for a building survey of Falkland Islands Radio station was raised at this week’s public meeting.
A former employee of FIRS raised how the station is in desperate need of funds towards repairs to the aging building and broken equipment.
Exco member Leona Roberts praised the work of FIRS, but explained that with the high cost of priority capital projects, the funding is not practical.
