External review into Falkland Islands medical records data breaches to be held

A formal review is finally set to investigate two major data breaches at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, going back to 2019. Hundreds of Falklands patients have been affected over six years, and campaigners Justice4Patients say the failures could have been avoided. The review will be carried out by UK-based Caldicott Guardians, and a Supreme Court consent order on November 18th will allow affected patients to claim compensation.
