The annual Falklands Xtreme Raft Race took place once again on New Year’s Day, with a record-breaking 23 rafts entered into the competition. The raft race is the first event of the anniversary celebrations that mark 40 years since the Falklands War.

The race was also a fundraising event for the Falkland Islands Conservation Watch Group and Falklands Xtreme Sports. We went along to find out more about the event and to see the rafts in action.
