The ship MV Bandero has been prohibited from entering Falklands waters, in an order signed by the Acting Governor on Thursday, after consultation with Executive Council.

The vessel, linked to the Captain Paul Watson Foundation direct action conservation group, had requested permission to come into port for provisions, fuel and crew relief.

The decision was made after it was involved in disrupting krill trawlers in Antarctic waters, including causing a ship-to-ship collision.
