Reports of Argentina opposing the Brazil air link to the Falkland Islands were mentioned during the last sitting of the Legislative Assembly. The LATAM air links have been suspended since 2020 due to the pandemic, with plans to restart the Chile link from July. MLA Pete Biggs told FITV that the Falkland Islands Government has been aspiring to resume the monthly air link to Brazil in full.
