Falkland Islands Government reaches agreement with Sure South Atlantic over future Islands telecoms

Following on from Starlink being granted a licence to operate in the Falklands, Falkland Islands Government has reached a new agreement with Sure South Atlantic to manage the impact of Starlink and other VSAT services in the Islands. The deal means Sure will continue delivering core telecoms services, while personal VSAT licences reopen under the new policy. The agreement also involves FIG paying compensation to Sure, funded by the taxpayer.
