Volunteers, including the Hockey Club, have been helping UK company FX Live install a synthetic ice rink at the new sports centre.

The two thirds size professional hockey rink is made of 360 Glice Panels and was funded by private sector donations.

This comes as the National Sports Council was given a final £250,000 in Government funding to finish the centre, with hopes it will open by Liberation Day.
