Falkland Islands Meat Company have put the recent beef shortage in the Falklands down to a lower number of cattle being deemed ready for slaughter. However, they hope to ensure a more constant supply of beef products in the future by both increasing the age at which cattle are ready and introducing a portal to help suppliers plan ahead by finding gaps in the annual supply calendar.
