Falkland Islands Receives Visit From New Penguins

The 20th of January is Penguin Awareness Day.

The Falkland Islands are penguin-rich – with five breeding species here every summer, but at the moment there may be eight.

A Northern Rockhopper has been spotted at the Murrell, and a Chinstrap penguin has been seen at New Island and Chartres.

There is however one very lost visitor making its home very close to Stanley.
