This Sunday was the shortest day of the year and, to celebrate, a record number of shivering swimmers lined up on Surf Bay for the annual midwinter dip.

With £5 entry fees, T-shirt sales and a £1,500 donation from the Falkland Islands Company – the event raised around £840 each for the Stephen Jaffray Memorial Fund, Cancer Support and Awareness Trust and Falklands Shears.
