The Falklands’ shearing community came together for a fast-paced and good-natured showdown at Fitzroy Farm’s Speed Shear Friendly Competition!

Shearers from across the Islands put their skills to the test in a fun, friendly environment — showcasing technique, speed, and plenty of friendly rivalry. From lightning-fast runs to great crowd energy, this event captures the heart of Falklands farming culture.

This year’s competition also served as a warm-up for the upcoming Tri-Shears, giving shearers the perfect chance to sharpen their technique, build confidence, and get into competition mode ahead of one of the Falklands’ biggest shearing events.
