The Falklands could soon be home to a new satellite data centre.

JETstreaM Ltd, a Falklands-registered company set up by US technology firm MissionNEX, is proposing to build a series of antennas near Pony’s Pass Quarry.

The site would receive encrypted satellite data before sending it on to customers around the world.
