The Falklands has hosted many veterans from 1982, with some even spending time living here.

Commander Mike Norman is one of those, having served as Head of the Navy and Harbour Master in 1987.

He also helped to build the memorial to HMS Sheffield on Sea Lion Island – a ship he served on as First Lieutenant.

On his most recent return to the Falklands, he shared his memories of the day the warship met her end.
