James Bicaldo cooks... chocolate biscuits

James Bicaldo is back in the kitchen, cooking up some delicious chocolate biscuits. Recipe below:


  • 60g melted butter
  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 45g cocoa powder
  • 120g all purpose flour
  • 1tsp baking power
  • A pinch of salt
  • 60g Royal Icing sugar


In a bowl, mix all the liquid ingredients together. Sift and mix all the dry ingredients in another bowl. Add the liquids into the dry ingredients and mix just until all the flour is moistened. Be careful not to over mix it. Chill the dough for 30 min. Scoop dough and turn into a ball, roll in Royal Icing sugar. Put in greased baking sheet 2 inches apart and bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 10-12min. Let cool on the baking sheet for 10 min and transfer on a rack to cool completely
