New Falklands laws criminalising the creation of deepfake images using AI are set to come into effect.

An ExCo paper set out the need to outlaw the creation or commissioning of intimate images using AI, which was approved earlier this month.

Legislation will now be drawn up to set out the finer details of the offences.
