New optometry machine for KEMH

A new Optical Coherence Tomography machine has been purchased for the KEMH through a generous donation to the hospital.

The machine is a non-invasive way to take photographs of the back of the eye using light waves.

The information gained means diseases and conditions can be diagnosed, sometimes before symptoms appear.

The machine was presented to the visiting optometrist Mr Tim Deakin.
