Reduction of the VSAT licence fee was supported by MLAs

Members of the Select Committee on the Starlink petition, have unanimously shown support for the list of proposed recommendations, including the reduction of the VSAT licence fee to £180 a year. The fourth and final committee took place this Thursday, with members of the community, petition activists and CEO of Sure Falkland Islands, Roma Stewart in attendance to hear the final views of the committee. Having carefully considered all the evidence submitted and the regulatory principles in the communications Ordinance 2017, the select committee put forward their 6 point list of recommendations.
